Exploring Piraeus

After out little afternoon rest we went out to explore Piraeus...we started with the local pharmacy for some Claritin d ... 2 boxes of 14 pills each was only 9€ ..thinking maybe we should stock up! Hoping it will help my allergies since I have been sneezing since the beginning of our trip and my throat has been tight..they seem to be helping a little.

Eyes we were...and how bad it has been it has been since the crisis I...we have heard quite a bit about the crisis in Greece since we arrived...what things were like before and after the crisis..

We headed toward the waterfront to find a cocktail and maybe a snack.  There is a huge Marina with amazing yachts all along the way to admire.  We walked all along checking out each waterfront place and decided in the last one which was very nice.  Our view....

A few cocktails and some bar snacks later we headed back along the waterfront stopping at an Irish bar...then a third stop...we kept having bar snacks but never actually had dinner..but we all seemed ok with that..I think our lunch seemed to hold us over along with all the salty bar snacks..

Back to our very IKEA style hotel for a night of rest before we board the star clipper tomorrow.

We will have most of the day to explore the town since boarding begins at 4pm..we set sail at 945 pm.
