We all tried to sleep in..which for the latest which was Michelle was 8 am..which definitely was much earlier than at least I intended. Wayne was up before sunrise and was up on the deck to see the sunrise he was able to capture some great photos! We got to see lots of work being done as some of the sails were raised and the 2nd in command was directed the crew. It is pretty cool to see a ship of this size at work and how the crew works together and each does their job to make the ship sail..
We had breakfast on board and the our mandatory 1000am safety instruction..the cruise director told us this 2nd drill once at sea is mandatory since the Costa Concordia accident. We then had an introduction from the captain and met some key members of the staff. There are 154 passengers and 75 staff members on board for this trip. Max. Is 170 passengers so just about full this time.
The cruise director talked about the experience of being in a tall ship/ clipper ship and everyone was welcome at anytime to assist with the sailing..or to go into the wheel house etc. that is why we are here...He actually seemed disappointed that no one had help when we set sail last night.
We were scheduled to arrive at Mykonos at about noon..so time to get ready for the day and grab lunch on board before we head to the tender to shore. We had a nice traditional Greek lunch and off to Mykonos we went!
