Our final day in Piraeus!

We started our final day in Piraeus looking for breakfast.  We found a cafe along the marina where we ordered cappuccino and tea for me of course...the coffees were way too small and disappeared way too quickly so the 2nd round was a double and much larger... We did not see any place that really had a breakfast and had to make a stop back at the hotel where breakfast was being served.  I realized we did have breakfast included so we grabbed a quick bit to hold us over until lunch time.

We went for a walk to the other side of the marina where the yachts were
even more impressive than what we had seen yesterday.  There were crews working on lots of them and they're were from all over the world. The one pictured below is named the Maltese falcon...the size was more than massive...there were at least 10 crew members that we could see working and cleaning it...I don't think the pictures do it justice.,.quite impressive!  They just kept going and going $$$$ after $$$$   We each picked our favorite! Dream big!

We walked to the end of the marina which had an an amazing view...I know it a tough life but lucky us we get to do it....

The temp was about 90 degrees and we were all getting hot and of course thirsty and it was 1100 so it must be time for a cocktail.    We stopped for some shade and a refreshing drink overlooking the yachts .  On one if the yachts there was a young good Looking guy doing his morning work out..he was nice enough to even take his shirt off for us! Well for me and Michelle any way....

We had to get back to the hotel to check out by noon so off we went.  We checked out stored our bags and headed out this time looking for lunch.  We headed towards a place I had read about on trip advisor of course called BarCode.  It was a tapas place and we tried lots of great dishes..1-2 we did not like but out of 10 we thought that was not so bad..the owner brought us over a few Ouzo shots to start our meal! Our first in Greece.

After lunch a little shopping and new hats for me and Michelle and another cocktail stop .  We really put the bartender to work for this one ...I really didn't know what I wanted something with vodka ..sweet but not too sweet maybe sweet and sour..Michele wanted some kind of espresso martini but not sweet more Milky creamy.,.he did a great job!  Then we realized it was 330 which was the time we were supposed to be getting on the shuttle to the port at the hotel...the bartender let me call the hotel  and the driver would be there for us at 345 for us..... Plenty of time to finish our cocktail!

Next post....boarding the Star Clipper!
